The Jameel Clinic draws on MIT’s unique expertise in technology and industry to drive the creation and adoption of high-precision, affordable, and scalable machine learning technologies, and solutions across three key areas — clinical AI, drug discovery, and epidemiology.
Our ResearchIn 2018, MIT and Community Jameel announced the launch of the Abdul Latif Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning in Health (Jameel Clinic) as part of MIT’s Campaign for a Better World, which was initiated under MIT’s 17th President Rafael Reif. Established in recognition of Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, the Jameel Clinic builds upon MIT’s relationship with the “bio boom” in Kendall Square, which has become the heart of the biotech industry.
We are working on novel algorithms suitable for modeling biological and clinical data across a range of modalities including imaging, text and genomics while striving to make new discoveries in machine learning, biology, chemistry and clinical sciences.
We support programs, projects, and ideas in AI and healthcare, establishing collaborations with hospitals, industry partners, and foundations that share our vision.
